Arlington is the place to = be if=20 you=E2=80=99re looking for unique items, gifts, crafts and = collectibles. =20 From 8 am-3 pm on Saturday August 7th, more than 60 vendors from = all over=20 New England will line Route 7A in Arlington for this annual = event. =20 You=E2=80=99ll find woven items, pottery, art, jewelry, china, = linens, antiques,=20 dried flowers, home made jams, knitwear, and much = more! =20 Plus, to keep your belly satisfied, the folks at St. James = Episcopal=20 Church and other non-profit organizations will be serving a great=20 assortment of home cooked food at their popular grill and food=20 booths.

This popular event has been held for 16 = years in=20 historic Arlington, Vermont, the home of beloved American artist = Norman=20 Rockwell and his family from 1939 to 1953.

In addition to = the town=20 green and main street being lined with vendors, the town-wide tag = sale=20 includes over 20 locations, stretching from Sandgate to = Sunderland! =20 Maps of all the tag sale locations are available during the event = at the=20 St James Grill.

This year, during Norman's = Attic St.=20 James will also be hosting a reunion of the Arlington area folks = who posed=20 for Rockwell during his years in Arlington - from 1939 - = 1953. Buddy=20 Edgerton, his son Jim, Don Trachte and over 25 other Rockwell = models will=20 also be on hand to share their stories and to sign prints (for = sale=20 during the event) of the illustrations in which they appeared. = Stay=20 posted for a complete schedule of events and=20 click here to see some of our local models with the = illustrations that=20 they modeled for.

PLUS . . .=20 . = You=E2=80=99ve seen his=20 face a million times; now - for the first time - meet the man who = inspired=20 Norman Rockwell: Rockwell=E2=80=99s most illustrated Boy = Scout, next door=20 neighbor, and dear friend. Hear stories about Norman Rockwell, the = private=20 man, you=E2=80=99ve never heard before from the one man who knew = him in a way no=20 one else could =E2=80=93 James A. =E2=80=9CBuddy=E2=80=9D = Edgerton. And, for the first time,=20 see an unknown Rockwell portrait that hung on his family=E2=80=99s = wall for almost=20 sixty years, a portrait Rockwell gave to the family personally, = upon the=20 death of Buddy=E2=80=99s young cousin.

Co-Authors = James A. =E2=80=9CBuddy=E2=80=9D=20 Edgerton and Nan O=E2=80=99Brien will at this year's Normans Attic = to introduce=20 their book =E2=80=9CThe Unknown Rockwell =E2=80=93 A = Portrait of Two American=20 Families=E2=80=9D and to meet and talk with the visitors = of this unique=20 event. Nan O=E2=80=99Brien is a well-known author of books = on several=20 topics, as well as a syndicated columnist for the Tribune Company = and host=20 of her own nationally syndicated radio show.

The=20 management of this annual event has moved back to Arlington, under = the=20 direction of St. James Episcopal Church in conjunction with = businesses=20 throughout the Arlington area. Vendors selling antiques,=20 collectibles, home-made jams, art, jewelry, knitwear, quilts and = similar=20 items are welcome to join us. Please note: all food = vending (=20 for on-site consumption) is restricted to non-profit organizations = within=20 the Arlington area.
